Where: Spain

When: September 2015

What: conquistar el Camino de Santiago (to conquer the Way of St. James)

About: A traditionally religious trek, this up to 791 km (490 mile) backpacking trip through northern Spain allows pilgrims to reflect on their spiritual lives as they travel to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. This would be the equivalent of walking from Seattle to Yreka, CA!

– cultural exposure
– spiritual enlightenment
– to test our relationship on a new level

How You Can Help!
We are paying for this trip, but all the little details start to add up. Neither of us have truly backpacked before, so on top of tickets, our daily spending money (for food, hostels, etc.), and emergency fund, we also have to purchase all basic gear before we leave!

If you would be willing to help us out, every little bit counts! Thank you!
